Discover Our Restaurant Story

In 1965, Grandma Pesci lost her husband and began renting her spare rooms to borders newly arrived in town. Mornings, to save money, she would go down to the local pier and fish for day's meat - fish, and then stop by the market on her way home for trimmings, seasonings, and sides. Soon enough, people were convincing Grandma Pesci to sell plates out of her kitchen (through the window!) and eventually, to open her own restaurant.

Many years later, Grandma Pesci passed her recipes - and her restaurant - to her eldest son, a new father with an infant boy. Now the husband and wife team were raising their family in the restaurant, passing the recipes down to their children. One of those children is still running the restaurant even today - Evan Matthews. It is a great honor to share Grandma Pesci's recipes with the public still today.
